Drowned Rat

I looked like a drowned rat today.  I went walking on the trail in the rain this morning. I wore my trusty green raincoat but I misjudged how hard it was raining.  By the time I got home I was so soaked that I had to change all my clothes. It is supposed to get up to 52 degrees today.  That is very warm for the North Pole.  (We tell Claire that we live at the North Pole along with Olaf from Frozen.)

I got good mail yesterday.  I like checking the Hands-On site and was attracted to these two patterns.  You know I love blue patterns.

I really like this sewing pouch.  The pattern shows how to make it into a bag.  I don't really need any more things to stitch but it sure is fun to buy stuff.

I've been working on the funky bird and now he has a friend and a border.  This is easy stitching  I hope to finish this up soon.  I think this would make a cute bag.

Thanks for the suggestion that there are much cuter containers for my scissors than jelly jars.  I'll be on the lookout.  Also, DQ, hey, we could have a stitch-along for Mend.  I haven't really done that before.  Let me know when you get it.
Enjoy your day!

  2. Yikes! Hands on Design's designs are stalking me this evening. You're the third person who has posted showing one of their pieces (all different, btw). I almost expect Rod Serling is going to walk out from behind the bookcase and start talking about a dimension of sound and of sight.

Indigo Star looks like a lovely piece, and the funky birds are so fun!

  3. I, too, love funky birds. In fact, I love birds of all kinds. Would you please tell me the name of the designer of your funky birds. Thanks!
