Tiny Steps

I have so many irons in the fire that the progress on each one is minuscule.  So my pictures today may look very similar to other days.  I put the center in (badly) in the third sunflower. Don't look too closely.  It only looks good from a far distance.   One sunflower to go.

Why am I so slow?

Well first I have to even up the guidelines which are way off.  Half the battle with making a temari is getting ready to stitch.  Actually putting on the design is the reward for getting it all set up.

I put in another window and some more background on the Hall of Justice.

I put a couple of flowers in Just Nan's Scissors Roll.

I am pulling my hair out over the Briar Rose.  I can't get the outline right.  That is my goal for today:  get the outline right.  And no, I am NOT taking out any of the roses.  Why don't designers always use that graph paper that is bolded on every tenth line?  That would make counting soooo much easier.

There are so many other things I want to work on.  I have wanted to make that Merry Cox Pearl cotton box from a magazine for a long time now.  I want to try out some designs for my casket.  I want to finish off the second bookmark now that I found some skirtex.  I saw Margaret's darling Prairie Schooler ornaments and want to make a "Claire" banner.  So much to stitch and so little time.
The bathrooms are clean and DH says we can go out to eat tonight.  Yeah!

  1. You do have a lot of pieces on the go but I love that you make progress on each. The Prairie Schooler Christmas Alphabet's are a fun and quick stitch - you will love them. Hope you enjoy your dinner out.

  2. Every stitch is progress (well, unless you have to rip out like I did recently!) The Just Nan is moving along quickly.

I love your temari. Think I'd need a class before I attempt one of those. How will you display them?

I'm slowly working on the pieces from our Merry Cox weekend.

I'd love to see more of your casket ideas. That's an amazing piece of work. Nancy
