I am very excited as I leave tomorrow for my birthday trip. I've printed out my boarding passes, my bags are almost packed and I have lists of stuff to see. What fun it is to go on a trip!
I am so happy to tell you that I have finished my butterfly. Last night I whip stitched the felt back on it and now it is done. I was supposed to glue it but it seemed to me that if I stitched it down, it would be so much more secure. Since I've made two other Jenny Adin-Christie pins and have sewn the back on instead of gluing, I was confident it would work out. So here it is:
It is sparkly and it was hard to get a good photo.
Here is the back. It is kind of messy but it shows all the stitching that was needed.
The scary part is cutting it out.
Then the muslin edges were glued down to the back. Here is the finished back.
I will be gone for almost a week but I'll tell you all about my trip when I get back.
