Be Still My Heart

I woke up early this morning.  I always check my mail as soon as I get dressed.  Yes!  There was a newsletter from Amy Mitten.  I knew it - I have been anticipating a new tutorial for a while now.  I couldn't believe it when I saw it.  It is beautiful!  I want to make it!  (Of course I want to make it, I want to make everything Amy Mitten designs)  It doesn't come out until November.  I'm all signed up.  How will I wait until November?  Just the thought of a new project put me in such a good mood.  Walking went faster.  I'm excited.

Okay, I worked on stuff yesterday.  Evan's Christmas stocking is more blingy.  I put the string of "lights" on the Christmas tree as well as some ornaments.

Then I got to start the snowman.  I appliqued his foot.  Next I get to do his arm.  So that is the goal for today.  Get his arm on.

Then on Mistress L, I worked on the pansy band.  I hope to finish that band up today and start the montenegrin row just below it.

When I get the pansy band done the sampler will be about 26 inches long.  Only 6 inches to go!  Can you believe it?  I'm getting close to finishing now.

My sweet Claire started her school yesterday.  She is growing up so fast.  It was a thrill to see her all dressed up, ready to go.  It brings back a lot of memories of getting my kids off to their first day of school.

  1. Oh Christmas tree... If your sewing a snowman and a Christmas tree are responsible for today's cooler weather, please keep going!

    Mistress L is looking gorgeous.
