Sprung Flung

I'm back from Spring Fling.  What a great time I had!  Betsy Morgan is just the best teacher.  I had a fun time with my BFFs.  They live in different states so I don't see them very often.
So this is the story of Spring Fling 2016.  I flew to Minneapolis early in the morning.  It is only an hour and a half flight.  BFF picked me up at the airport and we headed to Panera for breakfast as I was there before stores opened.  The highlight of a trip to Minneapolis is a visit to Stitchville USA.

Since this was Tuesday and Spring Fling doesn't begin until Friday, we had the run of the store.  I had a long list of fibers that I needed.  Deb just has all the threads you could ever want in her store.

I was looking for a blue linen for the Just Nan project.  I bought five different blue linens.

I couldn't decide!  I have to lay the threads on the linen and compare the colors to the photo on the front of the leaflet before I'll know what I want to use.  Deb's selection of linen is just outstanding and you can see everything with out dragging out bolts and making a big mess.  I found everything I was looking for.  It was so fun.
BFF kindly drove me up to Stillwater which is a very interesting town.  It has lots of antique shops and cute stores.  I'm not much for antiques as I like brand new shiny stuff.  But I love little cute stores.  I found the cutest gift for Marco Polo (nickname for grandson to be).

We saw some fantabulous cupcakes.  (Of course I bought some.)  We had the most marvelous pizza from a wood oven for lunch.  Then we met up with our hostess with the mostest, J.  She has invited me to stay at her house before Spring Fling starts even though we have never met.  I think she is going to be BFF#3.
We went to a great yogurt place.  I found that I love the Peach Mango with butterfinger crunch on it.  Then we got some Wich Witch (?) subs to take back to J's.
We went to J's next door neighbors for a Stamping Up party.  I made 3 cards and it was a lot of fun.
Of course I found some things I couldn't live without.
What a great day!  J is just the best hostess.  I was really tired after all that excitement.
More fun tomorrow!
A
