Needle Purse

I worked on the needle purse to the Edinburgh Etui yesterday.  I hit a snag.  After I was  almost done with the second section, I looked at the top flap and realized that it was not centered.  Rats!

I knew I couldn't leave it and it looked like a lot to take out.  But I bit the bullet and took out all those smyrna stitches that made up  the flower.  I had to take out one side of leaves.  It really didn't take that long.  When I time myself, I realize that frogging isn't as time consuming as I thought it would be.  It only took me about 15 minutes.  Then of course I had to move everything over a stitch or two and restitch.  But I got it done.  Last night I put in the last of the stitches.

Now I am ready to finish-finish it.  I have the interfacing cut and the skirtex measured.

Great news!  My friend and I got into the Embroidery Tour!!  It is just too exciting.  I have so many questions.  Do I have to get shots?  Will there be a place to wash clothes so I don't have to take so many things with me?  What shoes will be comfortable to walk in but not make me stand out as an American in tennis shoes?  This is something that I will be able to cross off my bucket list!

  1. Congratulations on getting on to the trip. I look forward to sharing it with you when you do travel as you always take such good photos and have such interesting comments and insights.

  2. I'd be very surprised if you need shots to come here, unless you are stopping over en route to somewhere dubious. A lot of people wear trainers for comfort when walking so you won't stand out whatever you have on your feet.
