Thread

The bathrooms are clean so I'm off to other (and more fun) stuff.  I am working on Diligence.  I'm putting in the honeycomb on the ort container.  It is a bit challenging as metal thread is usually difficult to work with.

Sometimes Amy Mitten uses vintage threads but I don't know if this is vintage or not.  In our kit is some Thread Heaven.

I haven't used this before but I like how it helps the thread cooperate.  There is interfacing on this part so I'm stitching with a metal thread through interfacing, muslin and silk.  The thread gets caught on a regular basis.  Then I have to snip off the end and rethread the needle.

This is the perfect thread for stitching the honeycomb in spite of the drawbacks.  I like how it looks.

I am about half done with three more sections to go.  I'd love to try stitching a bee.

  1. Looking good. I don't like working with metallic thread, but I do like the way it looks on a finished piece.
