Something New

I ran across this kit the other day.  I bought it from a shop in Australia.
 It came with a nicely finished spool to mount the stitching on.
I thought "backstitch, well that's easy". No it isn't. Some stitches are over two and some are over one. It is very easy to get off.  I decided to try and get the outline of the bird in first then fill him in. We'll see how it goes or if I just want to stomp on it.

    It's a beautiful kit! I have the Chrysanthemum kit by the same designer, (not made yet)-it was so hard to decide which one to get and now I wish I'd bought them all! I look forward to seeing your progress on this piece!
