Yeah! I got my order yesterday from SBB. I tore into it (literally). What I wanted to do first was the Shabby Chic Pendant. I wanted to take it next week to Spring Fling. I looked in the bag and there was only a single piece of paper. No ribbons, no buttons, no beads. What? 16 dollars for a leaf pattern? Something must be wrong. I called the shop and told them I got a pattern with nothing else. She said, that's the way it comes. The designer just uses buttons and beads from her stash. I can't believe I paid that much for that little. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I loved that blue flower button. Rats. Buyer Beware.
I did get some good projects for taking with me on my trip next week. I was trying out threads for one of the charts last night using Hand-Dyed Fibers. It calls for Belle Soie but I think I'll substitute some over dyed threads.
Alas, I didn't get the Sugar Plum Fairy done yesterday. I still have the personalized cupcake and her wand to do before sewing the back on.
I am in the process of sewing the lining on the main piece of the Vierlande Winders' Keeper. I have one side done. Next is sewing the bottom piece on. This is going well.
We had a substitute teacher in aerobics today as our regular teacher is in Hawaii this week. The sub taught an intro to Zumba. It was comical. Older ladies trying to shimmy. We must have looked ridiculous. But it was a nice change of music and it was fun. We were rather embarrassed at our ineptitude.
I'm going to go play.

sorry about your necklace - I'd be disappointed, too. I do like the over dye colors you are using - you have a good eye for color! Enjoy your projects - stitch well
ReplyDeleteOh Amy. I can imagine your disappointment at that and the little blue button is really cute. Will look forward to seeing what your stash provides! Sugar Plum Fairy and the Winders Keeper are coming along well. Have a good weekend -we have a four day long weekend holiday for Easter so I am sewing and stitching.
ReplyDeleteo.O It's chart only? I made the same assumption you did based on the price. This necklace caught my attention too during the Nashville release. I'm so sorry about what happened. Lovely stitching, by the way.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Veronica.
