I did it! I finished The Owl and the Pussycat. Totally done.
My looped purl tree turned out fine. You can see the loops from the side.
The little guitar has been added to the boat. It was just glued in.
Last thing I did was to put the stars in the sky.
See how complicated this was? The whole thing is only about 6 inches by 8 inches.
It is another snow day for kids around here. I was brave enough to drive to the Y to walk.
It is still snowing outside. ARGH.

So brilliant!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful piece - just stunning! So ... do you have a piece of wall picked out for it? ;)
ReplyDeleteWell done! The Owl and the Pussycat look ready to sail off in their pea green boat along with the honey and plenty of money wrapped up in the £5 note!
ReplyDeleteIt was good to see you in Williamsburg!
I bow down to you!!
ReplyDeleteI've loved this piece since the beginning.
Congrats on your superb finish.

Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing accomplishment! This is truly a piece of art!
ReplyDeleteAmy I confirm, you did an incredible job with this piece.
ReplyDeleteIt was truly special to see this and Mistress L perfectly finished with Irish linen
on the back.
I truly admire how you " fearlessly" approach this kind of work.
Congratulations !
I concur with the others, Amy! Just beautiful. You are so inspiring for us stitchers who lack your courage to take on a variety of embroidery techniques and projects. Kudos to you!
