Assisi Bird

The question with the Assisi Bird was would the background match up?  No, of course not. So I ended up taking a bit out and trying again until it looked okay.  I think it looks fine now.  The texture on the inside of the bird is a challenge but then I'm almost half done. I'll keep plugging away.

I tried putting it around the spool and it doesn't quite meet but whatever.
