I got the Queen's Ruff kit from Amy Mitten in the mail yesterday. When I first ordered it, I wasn't sure how big it was. When I looked closer at the photo, I saw that is held six threadwinders. It was great to finally see what I'm making.
Here is the kit. There is also a bag of finishing supplies. I didn't know that we get scissors. I wonder what they are used for. That is not a regular size spool of pearl cotton. That is a great big spool!
I love the thread keep that is actually a thread keep.
This is the backing board for the project. It is a good six inches in diameter.
I got all the pieces ironed. I had to take The Owl and the Pussycat out of my hoop so I could do the basting and backstitching for this. I got a good start.
I started working on the boat for The Owl and the Pussycat. Wouldn't it be great to get the boat done today?
I am so lucky to get to stitch such nifty things!

Oooh, it's going to be so much fun watching you work on the Queen's Ruff! When I got the email announcing it, I right away thought of you and hoped you'd order it. :)
