First of all, I forgot to show you what I bought at Erica's. I got this little folder full of post it notes.
I also got a roll of some lovely colored wool felt.
I have a pattern and needed some nice colors of felt to make another tape measure cover.
Today we are going to Nancy's house for a cartonnage class. That means we will be making a box to hold the embroidered book we are going to start tomorrow. I just love making things. The teacher was just marvelous and I was tickled to learn how to make a box.
The teacher has an Etsy shop (ColorWay Arts) but learning it in person while you are doing it is just the best way. I'm using a piece of fabric that I got at Liberty in London (which makes me be very careful, I don't want to mess this up!).
It takes us all morning but I just love how my box turned out.
I got two extra kits and the tools to make a couple more boxes.
We had a delicious lunch provided by Nancy. Fabulous dessert.
After lunch we go shopping. We hit three quilt/fabric shops. Then to check this off my bucket list of things to do in Indy, we go to Heidelberg Haus for dinner.
The gnomes out front:
I wish they had Springerle but it is only offered at Christmas time.
I get a few (!) cookies:
I have German potato salad and a hot dog for dinner.
Oh, yes, I also got a pecan roll.
Yum!
What a fun day!
