I forgot to wash my hair last night. I didn't realize that it was Wednesday yesterday. So today I went and got my hair trimmed and the salon washed it for me. Cool. What was weird at the salon was that all the other customers were men.
This is where I am on the Alison Cole butterfly.
I got all around the outside edge and now I have to do long and short stitch in the middle. I'm not very good at it so I have been avoiding it.
Two things have influenced me lately. A well known FlossTube person has just decided not to do videos anymore. And a very dear friend of mine has some serious medical issues. This has caused me to re-evaluate what is important. I am not sure that I wish to continue this blog. I have many kind readers but I have to do what is best for me. So I thank you for reading and commenting and for your help in my dilemmas.
I wish you all the best.

You have both inspired and entertained me, and been a part of my afternoon cup of tea every day. I wish you all the best in all your future stitching adventures and thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the steps and progress of the projects you do because it inspires me to try stitching items that I might not have considered before. So I want to thank you for the time you have taken to stop and photograph your beautiful stitching and then taking the time to share it with us online. I thank you for that! Happy walking!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a joy to follow all your projects and your life and was great to actually meet you on the casket tour in England, mornings for me in New Zealand will not be the same, as reading your blog has always been a highlight. Continue to enjoy your stitching and thank you again for the years of sharing your stitching journey.
ReplyDeleteSo sad you don't continue. But thanks for all the blog things you gave us. Perhaps you will return to blogging when life is steady again. Enjoy your stitching!
ReplyDeleteSince I discovered your blog last year I have always looked forward to seeing what you post every day-it is always so inspiring and beautiful! I will really miss you but I wish you all the best! Thank you so much for sharing so generously your work and life with us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration and enabling! Enjoy your stitching and your journey.
ReplyDeleteI have so enjoyed reading your posts for a long time and you will be missed greatly. I wish you the best and hope to hear from you again. My best wishes, also, to your ailing friend.
ReplyDeleteI read your blog every day and look forward to seeing your latest stitching ‘adventures’. I’m really going to miss you if you definitely decide to leave us 😢 .

Another great project.
ReplyDeleteI will miss your posts terribly, as I read your blog daily.
But, you have to do what is best for you.
Ther's always e-mail.

I so enjoy your blog and look forward to seeing your progress every day even if you do make me look lazy. I feel as if you are my friend even tho we have never met. However, I realize that it takes a lot of time on your part that you could spend doing other things. Maybe you could try posting once or twice a week. Whatever you decide, thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement you have given us and the best of luck in your future endeavors --- but I REALLY want to see your finished casket!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your blog every day. I can't remember if I've ever even commented. I'm in awe of your "jump in and do it" philosophy. You have something to contribute to the world of stitching via blogging so I hope you don't stop.
ReplyDeleteWho is quitting Flosstube? :(
So sad to read you won’t be posting anymore. I looked forward each day to reading about your adventures and misadventures (with your gps). Wish you well with your projects and whatever life brings you. I for one will miss your daily posts and all you beautiful works.
ReplyDeleteI’m so sad to hear you won’t be blogging anymore. I read your blog daily and look forward to your posts. I’m always sad to hear another flosstuber is not making videos. Who is it?
ReplyDeleteYou will certainly be missed, I appreciate all of the things that you have shared with us!!
ReplyDeleteMiss you, Amy! You do beautiful work, and are the BEST enabler ever!!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy and look forward to your entries. I realize what a sacrifice it is/was to do this daily, and have to thank you. I don't think I commented before, but like other commenters, appreciated your "can do" atitching attitude and will miss your enabling. I learned so much from you. Hope to hear from you occasionally - thank you again.
ReplyDeleteIf your journey takes you down another road, I hope we meet up again sometime! Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteWe met at EGA classes in Indianapolis a couple of years ago and I have been following you ever since. You have inspired me to stretch my stitching abilities and try other techniques. I marvel at all that you accomplish! But I have always wondered how you do it all. Maybe, once the baths are clean and your walking is done, you can check in now and then? I know you will astonish us with all that you have done! I neither blog nor make Flosstube videos and I have no LNS so I depend on the internet to fed my stitching frenzy! If you decide not to blog any longer, you will be missed.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your friend. However, I hate it that the internet trolls have partially caused you to stop blogging. I know you have to do what is best for you, but it feels like the trolls win and the stitching community loses. Your blog has been such an inspiration. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteStill checking for updates! Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog. It is so inspiring seeing all your projects and how you finish them! I'm hoping you pick up the blog again!!!
ReplyDeleteI miss seeing your blog. You are so inspiring! I hope all is well with you and your friend.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you - hoping all is well. You are missed!
ReplyDeleteHola.
ReplyDeleteEs una cosa muy personal y de prioridades. Bueno ya sabes que el blog es una satisfacción agradable sea cuando sea.
Una abraçada.
Probably you no longer get these comments, but here goes. I have been thinking of visiting the Winterthur conference this autumn, and know from your much missed blog that you have been before. I would be visiting from Ireland, never having been to the States before. Is it an easy place to get to from Philadelphia airport? Would I need to hire a car? Are there reasonable hotels nearby? Any info you can pass on would be so welcome? Perhaps i might even meet you there! Thank you.
ReplyDeletewow !!! beautiful and so lovely work :) i really like your good idea so much.Thank for sharing.
