Years in the Making

It's finally finished.  The Case of Indian Ink is all put together.  I can't believe it is all done!  Whew.  I started this years ago.  I did it my own way using long armed cross to join the panels.  I also used  30 count linen that may not have been the recommended count.

The finishing was challenging as the photos are hard to decipher with the black ultrasuede.  But I finally understood that the spine was ultrasuede with the stitching panel sewn on top of it.  I admit that some of directions I still don't understand, but whatever.  It's done - yeah!

The front pocket has a small ultrasuede pocket for a threadwinder.
The back pocket has a holder for scissors.

The other case I made fits in the middle.

I was looking for some ribbon for the closure and ran across yet another part of this project.  It is a case for the case so I have one more thing to make.  Well actually two things.  I have the kit for that funny thing in the left corner.

Here are all my India Ink pieces - so far.
Cool.

  2. The first time I saw this, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. The simplicity of it strikes my fancy but it's not simple. Congratulations to you for stitching and finishing these pieces. Absolutely love it. You really are inspiring.
