Happy Mail

It came!! My kit for Jenny Adin-Christie's latest design, the peacock came in today's mail.  It was sent on May 1st.  I thought it would take longer.  I was just going to post several possibilities for what to start next,

  But since I got the Peacock, there is no question what I want to tackle next. Look at this lovely kit.  This is so cool! How lucky am I?

A Finish!

My four Well Rounded smalls are all done.  I just finished them this morning. I confess that I didn't read the finishing instructions so I don't know if I did it like her or not. 

The backs are just plain. Now I can replace the eggs with these. Cool.

DQ asks a Question

Dq wanted to know if I washed the wool felt I used with Larissa Holland's Twelve Days of Christmas.  I am basically a lazy person that skips steps I view as not necessary. But in this case I couldn't find my Sulky Solvy.  Amazon says I ordered the Sulky on December 22, 2016. I just couldn't find it and didn't remember exactly how it was used. The Sulky I bought can be printed on.

You print the pattern page on Sulky then you take off the backing paper an stick it to your felt. You embroider right through the paper. That way you get the embroidery exactly right.  Then you soak the Sulky in water and it disappears. So since I can't find my Sulky, I ordered more thanks to a Mother's Day gift card. (Thanks DS#1!)

Outlander

I took a class a while back from Forget Me Nots in Stitches.  The designer was inspired by the castle in the Outlander series.  It was a challenging project since the chart was incomplete. But I persevered and finished.

Kate Barlow

On the Needlework Tours and Cruises Queen to Queen Tour that I went on last year, one of the Tutors was Kate Barlow.  She was a delightful teacher. I looked at her website and asked her if I could buy two of her flower kits,  She said yes and brought them to class. I made up one of the kits.

I am not the best embroiderer but I was Happy with how it turned out. I should get busy and stitch the other one.

Stitch Along

My friend Anna is participating in a StitchAlong in Australia.  It is for the Twelve Days of Christmas felt ornaments designed by Larissa Holland.  I saw a bird that Anna made and it was so sweet. I decided to buy the pattern on Etsy and stitch along too.

Well Rounded #4

I got the fourth Well Rounded all stitched.

I am using the same linen for the back and lacing them together.

I have twill tape from Lady Dot for around the edge and a bow on top. There are four different colors of twill tape for these but I could only find three of them.  No problem, I'll just use the tan on two of them. I'll show you when they are all done.
