Hello everyone, I am the "DH" Amy referred to in her posts. This will be the last post on her blog.

My younger son, the gifted writer in our family, has created a wonderful obituary to honor her and it can be found here:

https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/kalamazoo/name/amy-wilson-obituary?id=35393458

I, as well as my sons, would like to thank all of you, her readers and fellow stitching devotees, for your faithful and engaging following of her stitching pursuits over the years. She so very much enjoyed your feedback about all her works, regardless of how she may have felt about how they turned out. You were all part of the stitching community that brought so much joy and happiness to her life.

I miss her deeply.

  2. I was so sorry to hear of Amy's passing.
    Her projects were always beautiful.
She posted when she got new projects in the mail, & I always told her I wanted to live at her house just to get her mail! :)
    It's a beautiful tribute.
I will always cherish her pictures of her amazing stitching.
    Please take care.

  5. What a lovely tribute to a passionate needlewoman! I was so sad to hear of Amy's passing back in May. I have enjoyed reading about her stitching exploits for years and was lucky to have spent time with her on a number of occasions. I am sorry for your family's loss and will miss her!

  7. I was honored to be Amy's BFF for more than 13 years. Even though we lived nearly 600 miles apart, we stayed connected through the posts on this blog, and by talking on the phone, texting, e-mailing and meeting up all over the country to stitch, laugh, take classes, visit museums, shop, site-see and order treats. I can't express how much I miss her and how lucky I was to have had her in my life. I am so glad now, to be sharing memories with those she loved. I just know that Amy is in heaven ordering "2 of everything".

  8. DH so sorry for your loss. I deeply miss her too! She inspired me to do so many projects and checking her blog daily was a highlight in my day. I really feel her void and miss her daily comings and goings. I cannot clean my bathroom without thinking of Amy's ritual of cleaning the bathrooms on Mondays!
